keep your family entertained when stuck in a hotel room

If you’re like most families, you’ll probably find yourself stuck in a hotel room at some point this summer. Whether you’re on vacation, travelling abroad as a family, or visiting family, there’s no need to panic! There are plenty of ways to keep your family entertained. This blog post will discuss four fun activities that can be enjoyed in any hotel room.

1) Play Games:

Board games, card games, and even video games can be great fun for the whole family. If you don’t have any of your own with you, most hotels will have a selection of games that you can borrow. So dust off those old Monopoly pieces and get ready for some family fun!

Another great way to pass the time is by playing some hotel room charades! This is a classic game that people of all ages can enjoy. All you need is a few index cards and a timer. One person will start by acting out a movie, TV show, or book while the others try to guess it. You could even dust off the cobwebs and teach your kids games that we played as kids.

2) Go on a Scavenger Hunt:

This is a great way to explore your hotel and get some exercise whilst you keep your family entertained in the hotel. Make a list of things that can be found in most hotel rooms, such as a TV remote, a Bible, or a piece of luggage. See who can find all the items on the list the fastest. You can even make it more challenging by adding items that are specific to your hotel room, like an ashtray or a robe.

Another fun way to pass the time is by going on a scavenger hunt around the hotel. This is especially fun if you stay in a large hotel with multiple floors. Get everyone in the family involved and see who can find all the items on your list the fastest.

3) Have a picnic:

Just because you’re stuck in a hotel room doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a picnic! Let’s be honest we all use food as a way to keep your family entertained even when we’re not travelling. Lay out a blanket on the floor and enjoy some of your favourite foods. If you’re feeling really adventurous, try to make it a themed picnic. For example, you could have an Italian-themed picnic with pizza and wine or a beach-themed picnic with sandwiches and lemonade.

A picnic is also a great way to get everyone in the family involved in meal planning. Let each person choose their favourite food and then help prepare it. This is a great way to bond as a family and create lasting memories.

4) Watch Television:

This may seem obvious, but watching TV can be a great way to pass the time. Most hotel rooms will have a variety of channels to choose from, so you’re sure to find something that everyone in the family will enjoy. If you’re really looking for some quality family time, consider binge-watching a new show together, sign in to your family Netflix account, or check out some educational shows for kids. You can even make it into a game by seeing who can guess what happens next.

You can even watch a live streaming sports game on https://sportnews.in/news if you have a laptop or other device with you. This is a good way to be able to get some time ‘away’ from your family and give each other a bit of space by watching something individually on your own devices.

With so many great options to keep your family entertained, there’s no need to worry about being bored while stuck in a hotel room! Just get creative and have fun with your family. These memories will last long after the summer is over.
