I love to travel and I’ve really missed it this past year. I’ve pulled together some of my favourite Intentional Travel quotes. Not only was 2020 hard for so many of us because of the pandemic, but because we couldn’t travel or explore as much as we wanted to. For some people, this wasn’t too much of an issue. However for those of us who feel the need to travel in our bones, “itchy feet” my mother calls it, it was really hard.
Even now, as I sit and type this at the end of January 2021, we have no travel plans made for this year. I guess we’re just waiting to see what happens. But even though we couldn’t travel, the wanderlust spirit in us is very much alive! And what better way to fuel your wanderlust than with some pretty amazing travel quotes.
Intentional Travel Quotes To Live By
Intentional travel is not the same as simply going on holiday. These intentional travel quotes really explain what it means to travel with intention. All photos in these pinnable travel quotes were taken by myself on our various travels over the years. Please pin your favourites.

One of our favourite things about travelling is when we discover something amazing that you haven’t read about, heard about or even considered when doing research about that destination. The best way to do this is to go where the locals go. They know the best places.

It’s about the journey, not the destination.
This is so very true, and one of the main reasons we would choose a road trip over any other holiday if we were only allowed to choose one mode of travelling. Fortunately, that’s not the case, but I do love a good road trip for all the experiences along the way. This is definitely one of the best ways to enjoy intentional travel.

There you have it. My favourite intentional travel quotes.
When I am planning a trip, I always aim to be mindful of the place I’m going. I try to research a bit about the country, their customs, their history, their food, their religion. It’s important to remember that anywhere you travel that is not your home country, you are a guest in that place. Part of living a more intentional life is that we need to be more mindful of others, but also of what we can accept of ourselves. Travelling to exotic destinations that look good on paper, but then you find out that the ethos of the country, the region or the people, goes against your personal fundamental beliefs, well it’s just not worth it is it.
These intentional travel quotes are meant to inspire you to really think about travel, consider where you’re going, think about what you will do when you’re there! Being more intentional about your travel plans will ensure you get the most out of your next trip, vacation or holiday.
